PM withdraws notification of LPG price hike


ISLAMABAD: The government has withdraw the notification regarding hike in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price on directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The government had earlier announced Rs. 25 per kilo hike in LPG rate enhancing the price to Rs. 65.90 per kilogram.

PM Sharif, while taking notice of the hike in LPG prices, has withdrawn the notification. In a statement the prime minister has said that unjustified hike in the price will not be allowed.

The prime minister also directed to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources to take notice of the hike in LPG prices thrice in a week.
