Salman khan and Sonam Kapoor in a still from Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is an upcoming Indian family drama film. This will be the fourth collaboration between Sooraj R. Barjatya and Salman Khan after their previous blockbusters Maine Pyar Kiya, HAHK and Hum Saath Saath Hain. The director has gotten a U Certificate for his upcoming family drama film. Yeah Sooraj Bajatya, who is known for presentation traditional, cultural and moral family values in his films, has got a U Certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) but after applying three cuts in the film.

The three cuts which have been recommended by Censor Board of Film Certification include a word and two scenes. The censor board asked the makers to eliminate the word ‘Chinar’, which is uttered twice in the film to illustrate a morally wrong woman or a mistress and instead of it change it with the less critical word.

The recommendation of other cut was made on the foundation of religious grounds as there is an extensive antakshari sequence during ram-leela in the film where the lines ‘Maar Diya Jaye Ya chhod Diya Jaaye’ was implied and CBFC has said the makers to eliminate this line as it might religious emotions of the people.

The film is written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya, produced by Rajshri Productions and will be distributed by Fox Star Studios. The cast includes Salman Khan as Prem / Vijay and Sonam Kapoor as Maithili. Both are in the lead role. The film is planned to release on 12 November 2015. The consciousness may be due to this factor that the movie will also be released in Telugu and Tamil versions as Prema Leela and Meymarandhen Paaraayo respectively. Salman Khan’s voice is dubbed by Ram Charan Teja in its Telugu version. Apart from these slight cuts, the movie sailed easily from side to side certification.
