LAHORE: Public outrage against the increased load-shedding has spread across the country as people have been staging protests in various cities against their sufferings.
The government of Pakistan has failed to comply by its promise of ensuring power supply during Iftar and Suhoor time. The 8-10 hours or more power cut in metropolitan cities has made life miserable during the month of Ramadan.
The people of Multan, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur and Hafizabad came out on the roads in last two days against the worse situation of power crisis in the holy month.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has shown concern over the situation and termed it unacceptable and also advised concerned authorities to solve this issue as soon as possible.
Minister for Water and Power has now assured masses that the situation would get better in the next 1-2 days.
