Rishi Kapoor is surprised on Parineeti’s award for losing weight

Recently, Parineeti Chopra, the young Bollywood actress, reduced her weight and went through a lot of physical transformation which has made her prominent in the film industry. The  actress followed her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s footing and made a lot of efforts to get new style and chic  for which the actress even bagged ‘Style Icon of the Year’ award for her amazing transformation. Where everyone was talking about Parineeti’s physical transformations and praising her there some veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor is not seem much excited.

Rishi Kapoor, who is famous for his explicit and straightforwardness, didn’t shy to express his disapproval of the award system, stating that “I couldn’t believe it when they recently gave an award to Parineeti Chopra for losing weight. Can someone please give me an award for gaining weight?”

The endeavor of Parineeti’s campaign Built That Way is to motivate the girls to lose their fat who are overweight. She posted a lot of images on her Twitter account for her fans.

Though, Rishi is annoyed at how eminent awards are being awarded to anyone, for anything. He argued that “I never did believe in popular awards. It’s gotten much worse now. I use award trophies as doorstops in my home. What they have done to film awards is truly tragic. They’ve reduced them to trivia. Shameless. He continued, “Agar sabko khush karna hai toh phir award ka matlab kya hua?”

He stated showing grieves about the commercialization of the award system, “It’s all for television now. One or the other of these awards keeps playing in some corner of the world. I’ve personally seen our awards functions being televised in Mauritius, New York, Los Angeles and many other parts of the world,”

He shared his views about receiving lifetime achievement award, “It’s my fourth or fifth-lifetime achievement award. They pleaded with me to accept it. They think my work is over, so they keep giving me lifetime achievement awards. But my work continues irrespective of whether they give me an award or not.”
