Saba Qamar will appear in another road trip movie

Pakistani film director, producer, writer, and actor, Wajahat Rauf, who has made comedy road film Karachi Se Lahore, is planned to direct another road trip movie but it will not the sequel to Karachi Se Lahore.

He has cast the next movie’s heroine, Saba Qamar and she has signed the movie alongside Yasir Hussain, who goes on to reprise his KSL character as the adorable Moti, Rubina Ashraf, and Behroze Sabzwari.

Saba Qamar shared that “I don’t know why some people are calling this a sequel to Karachi Se Lahore,” she added that “It’s not a sequel – in fact, Karachi doesn’t figure into this movie at all. It’s set more in the northern areas.”

She continued by saying that “This film will be far better than Karachi se Lahore, Any issues that existed in that movie will not be present here.”

She revealed about her character in the movie that it is a nontraditional love story, an “odd couple kee Kahani”.

Saba elaborated that “I play a musician, a rock star guitarist in the initial stages of her career,” she added, “[My character] comes from a broken family and all she wants is some peace of mind. She’s looking for some small moments of happiness, and she just packs a bag and decides to leave her house.”

She explained further, “She has a boyfriend who doesn’t understand her. He might seem modern but he really isn’t, he’s quite conservative in his thinking and she doesn’t like that,”

Yet it is not clear that whether Yasir Hussain (as Moti) will perform the role of her boyfriend or he’ll play another role.

Whereas Saba Qamar didn’t reveal further regarding the movie’s plot but she assured that “it’s a really great script. You’ll like the movie so much you won’t even get up to go to the washroom.”
