Saeed Ajmal claims he is fit enough to play for Pakistan294 views
Saeed Ajmal, who is Pakistan experienced off-spinner, has stated that not any person from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has got in touch with him vis-à-vis farewell match of any sort.
Ajmal was telling in an interview and disclosed that he is not prepared to call it quits because he considers he is fit sufficient to play for Pakistan for an additional two years.
Ajmal told that “No one has contacted me from the PCB as of now regarding my retirement plan,” Ajmal, who is in London for a charity match, continued by saying that “I am fit and ready to play, as I have shown everyone in the recently concluded National T20 Cup that the ‘old Ajmal’ is back.”
Ajmal considers that he still has what it gets to distribute for Pakistan in the limited overs cricket in the deficiency of any further good off-spinner in domestic cricket. Ajmal stated “Pakistan don’t have any good off-spinners in whole domestic structure,” he further added “I should be given chance after my T20 performance. If I fail to perform I will walk away myself. I believe I can contribute to the Pakistan team in the shorter formats for at least one or two years. That’s where my real focus is.”
The 38-year-old player, who was formerly the best bowler in the entire formats, additionally stated that he is set to dangle his boots in the highest format of the game.
He further stated “As far as Test cricket is the concern, I believe our team has some really good spinners,” he was of the view that “So all I desire to do is play for one last time and then focus on limited overs cricket.”
The Faisalabad-born performer additionally told that he is all set to listen to the bids from the cricket board.
