Salman never accept gifts from anyone: Jacqueline

Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, the Bollywood rising beauty who has acted along with Indian superstar Salman Khan in 2014’s blockbuster action drama film Kick, has asserted that the most wanted Indian film actor, producer and television personality does not accept any gift from anyone. In its place, Salman just asks for the gift to be passed on to his Being Human foundation which helps the needy across India. The foundation works in education and healthcare and was founded by the 50-year-old star in 2007.

The 30-year-old Bahraini-Sri Lankan actress, Jacqueline, was saying on an Indian TV show Yaar Mera Superstar as, “Whenever you speak to Salman, he always brings up Being Human because he is just so passionate about it,” she further continued by saying that “And mind you, this is not because the cameras are on. It is just always about Being Human with him!”

The leading star from the movie Brothers, who has ranked as one of the most fashionable celebrities in India, went on saying that Khan has also helped her regain confidence. She added as “He is one of the best mentors anybody can ever have. He really makes you believe in yourself and that is what he survives on,” she further explicitly confessed that Salman is an inspiration for her.  She continued as “He is very approachable and always there for someone who is in need. This is something I have learned from him because someone helped me when I needed it the most. Now I also try and help whoever I can now,”

The charity is funded by an 8-10% cut of the sales of Being Human-branded clothing. Sales revenue was almost 235 crore INR in 2014-2015 with the number anticipated to increase to 300 crores INR in 2016. A quarter of the brand’s revenue comes from outside India.  A tenth of the revenue comes from online sales.
