Sarfraz to captain Pakistan ‘A’ team against England Lions



ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) announced on Tuesday that wicket-keeper/batsman Sarfraz Ahmed will lead Pakistan ‘A’ in the series against England Lions at United Arab Emirates(UAE) in December.

A PCB official said that if Sarfraz does not have any commitment with the national team in December then he will captain Pakistan ‘A’ team against England Lions, he further said that the PCB has scheduled many tours for the ‘A’ team in order to groom talented youngsters.


Sur-1The official stated that a pool of 52 players has been formed and they will be tested in all three formats of the game this year in December when they will play against Lions in five List A, five T20 and two-day matches.

He said that we are also providing the chance to groom our future T20 captain, as Sarfraz is likely to be given a chance to lead Pakistan in a three match T20 series against Zimbabwe staring from next month.
