Sarwat Gilani is running a core design company; she has previously directed theatre plays, experimented in movies or acted in dramas. She has for all the time keeps her closely associated to the arts. If her presentation as the prevailing Pathan wife of an obedient police officer in Jawani Phir Nahin Ani (JPNA) didn’t acquire your concentration then Kiski Topi Kiskay Sar at the Karachi Arts Council must have. The show was a cognizant effort at emphasizing the attempts put in by the members of Special Olympics. It is this multiplicity of artistic options that makes Gilani over just one more pretty face under the attention and her subsequent venture is equivalently moving.
Currently, she is busy in shooting for Seeta Bagri, actor Adnan Siddiqui’s debut as a serial producer in which she performs a Hindu girl from the Bagri clan. Though it has to watch that if she can get the diction and accent down and also she did in JPNA, Gilani thinks this specific venture is astonishing.

Gilani stated in an interview that “The play is about the minorities that stayed back in Pakistan during partition,” she further added that “Unfortunately I have been hearing extremely unpleasant things on the pictures I uploaded of the sets. I keep writing back to them to say they are Pakistanis as much as you are.” The drama endeavors to increase awareness that the Hindu minority is a part of us, they have the similar morals, problems and lives like us and they are usual Pakistanis.
She added “It is very unfortunate on our part that we are unable to see them as us,”
The language and the accent are the obstacle for her in the beginning, “When you’re doing an angry scene your natural accent comes back so one has to redo, rethink each scene.” Sunita, who is a theatre actor from National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa), has helped her on the sets.
Gilani has appreciated Iqbal Hussain, who has written and directed the venture. “Iqbal is giving so many messages through his lines. It is a beautiful play, from the mise en scene to the lighting and the message. In the 12 years of my career, I haven’t been able to be a part of something like this” She added.
