‘Sex symbols’ like women has changed



The 35 year old Bollywood actress and Ex-Femina Miss India Neha Dhupia stated that at the time when she came into showbiz, she would often surprise that why men are not tagged as ‘sex symbols’ as women are. However yet, she is happy that Bollywood has altered after the years.

The leading lady from Garam Masala stated that “Everybody talked about how at that point; my image was a sex symbol. I always wondered why men are not labeled the same but it has all changed,” she further added that “John Abraham showed a sneak peak of his bottom in Dostana and then Shah Rukh Khan revealed his abs in Dard-e-Disco. Men also started becoming sex symbols and all that has changed now.”

The actress, who is linked with a lot of social reasons, has currently connected to a detergent brand’s ‘India’s Dads Share The Load’ campaign to speak to the problem of family disparity along with her father Pradip Singh Dhupia. More than the past month, the campaign gave local and international support from the fond of Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak, Tabu, Sheryl Sandberg and Melinda Gates, only to title a little.

Recently the actress has intervened in the world of TV by the gig MTV Roadies 4 and shared that performing with her father was a “fantastic” experience. She told that “I think it was absolutely fantastic because this was the first time I was actually doing something and sharing space with my dad. I was not nervous at all but actually excited to share the screen with him. We had fun,” Dhupia further shared that her father is pleasingly astonished as well that “doing laundry with my mother and sharing the load will actual bring him to a place and make him a part of this campaign.” She further continued that the procedure of alteration has previously penetrated. She continued by saying that “It is already changing. Like I am doing a show like Roadies and there is no task, at any point, that we say only boys can do.”
