Pakistan’s former pace-man Shoaib Akhtar said that the banned trio of Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif shouldn’t apologies to the nation verbally, we will forgive them if they will win the T20 World Cup 2016 in India.
Talking about Amir, Akhtar said that Amir would have picked 250 or 300 international wickets if he wasn’t banned. If he wants to comeback and perform well he should be strong psychologically, I would suggest him to hire some serious help, some serious advisers and to bring his ‘A’ game.
According to the 40 year-old, Amir has six to seven years left in him for Pakistan. Akhtar who has picked 178 Tests and 247 ODI wickets for Greenshirts in his 14 years of career said that the best of Amir is yet to come.
Talking about the spot-fixing trio, World’s fastest bowler Akhtar said that they will feel guilty of doing something very wrong every day the will play cricket, when they will be on the field millions of eyes will be judging them. They will feel this guilt every second since the moment they retire.
Akhtar added that now it can not be washed away, it can only be faded by their brilliant and match-winning performances. In my opinion the perfect way to apologies is not verbally, they should play and went on to win the T20 World Cup 2016 in India. Bring the World Cup back and we will forgive you.
