Twitter, Facebook blocked in Turkey

ANKARA: Facebook and Twitter have been blocked in Turkey on court orders just hours after a blast in Ankara killed 34 people and injured more than 130.

Turkish authorities moved to block users’ access to social media after images spread on Facebook and Twitter depicting the suicide car bombing, local media reported.

The unusual action was taken in the light of court orders.
