Underworld is a film series which is going to make its fifth sequel. It is expected to be released in 2016. The action-horror series, which has been directed by Len Wiseman, Patrick Tatopoulos, Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, its main cinematography is in progress in Prague on the latest installment of Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment.
The four series had a total financial plan of $177 million and grossed a global box office return of $458.2 million. Anna Foerster who has been recognized by her imminent work is going to direct the Underworld: Next Generation. She previously has directed episodes of the television series “Criminal Minds” and “Outlander,” is widely known for her work as cinematographer on heroic blockbusters such as Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and White House Down.
Foerster has set to direct the fifth film and ten-week shoot will be completed exclusively in the Czech capital and places adjoining, with star Kate Beckinsale returning as Selene.
Theo James is expected to act in the fifth addition and his role is as David from the fourth film. He is acting as the new lead and returns as Selene’s ally. James stated about his part in an upcoming movie as “but my involvement in it is… I think it’s going be very difficult to do that with these divergent movies, and my other commitments,”
The script for Underworld: Next Generation was written by Cory Goodman who has written for The Last Witch Hunter and pedestal on characters initially fashioned by Kevin Grevioux, Len Wiseman, and Danny McBride. Its producers are Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi. They both are American film producers. Former is the originator and chairman of Lakeshore Entertainment and also a beneficiary of the 2004 Academy Award for Best Picture for the film Million Dollar Baby. The later one is the President of Lakeshore Entertainment and President of The Producers Guild of America.
