Warriors break the jinx after winning NBA title after 40 years



CLEVELAND: The Golden State Warriors have defeated Cleveland Cavaliers 4-2 in the best of seven games to win their first ever NBA title after 40 years.

After winning the NBA tile, Andre Iguodala becomes the first NBA Finals Most Valuable Player(MVP) who has not started a single game of the season. Stephen Curry has also won the NBA regular season MVP award as both of them scored 25 points respectively to win the best of seven game series.

Golden State Warriors have become the first team to win the NBA Finals with the players who never had an experience of playing finals since 1991 Chicago Bulls.


Golden State coach Steve Kerr has won five NBA titles with Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs in his career, he also becomes the first Rookie coach to win the NBA Finals since Pat Riley’s Los Angeles Lakers in 1982.

Stephen Curry became the sixth player to win his first Finals MVP and the first title in the same season, the first since Shaquille O Neal in 2000. He also joined Magic Johnson and Bob Cousy who are the only two guards to win their first Finals MVP and the first title in the same season.
