Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja Ambassadors for Pakistan Super League




The Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram and the voice of cricket Ramiz Raja have been named as the ambassadors of Pakistan Super League (PSL) by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to boost-up the campaign of their T20 tournament.

Pakistan’s former captains Wasim and Ramiz will bring up their exposure of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to the PSL to make it up and successful by February 2016. The King of Swing Wasim, who recently supervised a fast bowling camp at Karachi where he spent two weeks to train upcoming Pakistani pacers.


Talking about the IPL, Wasim is the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders and Ramiz is serving as a commentator/expert since the very first edition of the tournament.

While talking to the media, former great Wasim said that he has been offered by the PCB as an ambassador to the league, he also said that he’s very excited about the league as it will help our players financially and groom them.

Wasim added that our country needs such kind of league and as a Pakistani we all have to support it, hosting it off-shore in a Gulf state is one heck of a job and it will lift Pakistan cricket.

According to a PCB official, Sri-Lanka’s skipper Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga have also shown their interest in the PSL. He further said that we are also targeting Chris Gayle of West Indies and England’s Kevin Pieterson.
