The reports have revealed that DC’s fictional character, Wonder Woman will be given the name of United Nations Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls.
The designation will be formally publicized at the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman. To blot the event, a ceremony will be organized at the UN Headquarters in New York on 21 October. The occasion targets to attain gender equality and empower the entire women and girls as UN will be inaugurating a groundbreaking worldwide campaign supporting their Sustainable Development Goal #5.
A number of bigwigs will be attending the occasion involving ex-UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson and a few others astonish guests who the comic site consideration would involve the other performers who have seemed as Wonder Woman.
Guardian quoted UN statement that “Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world,”

He continued by saying that “We salute this heroic role model and her legacy that is definite to persist to span another 75 years,”
